Malicious tongues say that 'Try & Hire' is only a nicer name for 'Try & Fire'. However, the reality on the job market proves the opposite. This form of employment prevents hiring the wrong person, which can be costly and a disadvantage for the employer, or the noncompliance with agreements, which can be disadvantage of the employees. Try & Hire is a solid, fair and qualitatively accepted form of employment. When two parties commit, they have the chance to test each other.

A certain position in your company has become vacant again. Maybe once again, the wrong person was hired or it was an aggravating misjudgment that not only costs nerves, but also a lot of money and time. The Try & Hire form of employment can drastically reduce the risk of hiring the wrong person.

How does it work?

  • Applicants will receive a Try & Hire work contract for a term of 3 months at the longest.
  • Shortly upon expiration of the 3 months, both parties decide whether they want to commit to a permanent employment or not.
  • If the potentially new person will be hired permanently, both parties get another chance to thoroughly test each other during the probation period.

  • If you want to reduce the recruitment risks when filling a permanent position or if special diligence is indispensable when filling a vacancy.

What are your benefits?

  • Clear regulations: Try & Hire employees will be hired on a permanent basis after 3 months and there are no further obligations.
  • As soon as the Try & Hire position is replaced by a permanent position, you will have the option demand another 3-months probation period.

  • Clear stipulations between the assignment company and PKS by means of a lease contract and also between the Try & Hire employee and PKS by means of an employment contract.
  • We will immediately enroll Try & Hire employees with the social insurances. Professional insurances and pensions will be provided immediately for Try & Hire employees (25 years or older). That way the insurance situation will be substantially improved for employees.
  • We strictly comply with the social and ethical regulations of swissstaffing, the trade association of personnel service providers in Switzerland. We attach great importance to transparent conditions for all parties involved.
